2. Makalidurga
A hill-fort situated in the village of the same name, Makalidurga has a beautiful temple of Lord Shiva at the summit. At 1,117 m above sea level, the trek gives you fascinating views of the fort ruins and a lake situated on its west side. Climbing through rugged terrain, the night trek culminates in a stunning sunrise at the crack of dawn. 3. Chikka Madhure Shani Mahatma Temple
On the banks of the Madhure Kere Lake in Chikka Madhure in Kanaswadi is one of the famous pilgrimage centers of Shree Shani Mahathma Temple. The temple is located around 14 km from Nelamangla on the Nelamangla and Doddaballapur Road. The temple falls in the Doddaballapur Taluk. 45km from Bangalore. The temple is dedicated to Saturn or Shani dev, one of the Nava grahas (nine planets) worshiped in the Hindu Temples.
